Daniel R. Sanford, PhD is a senior academic leader and scholar focused on teaching and learning in higher education. He is the Executive Director for Teaching & Learning at Boise State University, where he provides institution-wide leadership in faculty development, learning infrastructure, and high-impact educational practices.

His scholarly and professional work focuses on peer-led learning, learning science, and how institutions make decisions about teaching and learning, including the responsible integration of generative AI. He is the lead editor of The Handbook of Peer Tutoring (Bloomsbury) and the author of The Rowman & Littlefield Guide to Learning Center Administration and The Rowman & Littlefield Guide for Peer Tutors. He is frequently invited to speak, consult, and serve as an external reviewer on issues related to teaching, learning, and academic support in higher education.
